WildVibes: Bat House Making Workshop (Ages 11-16)
Halloween is almost here and let’s work together to take care of its greatest ambassador animal: the bat! At our next half-day WildVibes workshop, we will be making bat houses to aid these flying mammals survive through winter as they enter the state of torpor (a form of hibernation) in November!
Join Matt, an experienced creative facilitator, and Asim, our supportive youth worker, for a hands-on Bat House Making session in the woodland. This session focuses on making bat houses for each participant to take home and put up in their area to support the local bat population, and helping us create additional bat houses for Cup-O-T. Participants will have opportunities to gain skills using different tools in a safe way, practice following building instructions, and learning about bat ecology.
