WildVibes: Festive Gelli Printing Workshop (Ages 11-16)
Step into the festive season and get creative with our next WildVibes workshop!
Join Rachel, an experienced creative facilitator, and Asim, our supportive youth worker, for a hands-on Gelli-printing session in the woodland. Never tried Gelli-printing before? It’s a fun and accessible printmaking technique that uses a soft, flexible plate to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind layered prints. By pressing leaves, fruit slices, and other natural textures into paint on the plate, you’ll create stunning designs inspired by nature. These can then be used to make your own Christmas cards, name tags, or be framed and given to a loved one as a unique artwork gift!
What to Expect:
🍃 Foraging for inspiration – We’ll start by gathering natural materials from the woodland.
🎨 Gelli-printing in action – Learn how to use plant-based acrylics and printing plates to create unique layered artworks that you can later incorporate into Christmas cards.
🔥 Cosy creativity – Enjoy the warmth of our open fire and a cup of hot chocolate (with optional marshmallows!) as you print.
This is an outdoor workshop, so dress appropriately and wear sturdy footwear. We have a covered area in case of rain, so the session will go ahead whatever the weather!
