WildVibes: Advanced Firecraft Workshop (Ages 11-16)
Let’s ignite the year 2026 with a new set of workshops! At our first two-hour WildVibes session, we will be practicing different techniques of starting and maintaining a fire.
Join Matt, an experienced creative facilitator, and Asim, our supportive youth worker, for a hands-on Advanced Firecraft session in the woodland. This session focuses on learning about and practicing different firestarting techniques, in a controlled environment, guiding the young people ‘’from ember to expertise’’!
What to Expect:
Foraging for kindling – We’ll start by gathering natural materials from the woodland.
Understanding fire – Learn how to safely start and maintain fire using different techniques.
Cosy creativity – Enjoy the beautiful outdoors and a cup of squash / hot chocolate (with optional marshmallows!) as you create with natural materials.
This is an outdoor workshop, so dress appropriately and wear sturdy footwear. We have a covered area in case of rain, so the session will go ahead whatever the weather!
📍 Meeting Point: Cup-O-T’s woodland entrance
📅 Date & Time: Wednesday, 18th February (half-term), 10am-12pm
🎟️ Tickets: £3
These sessions are funded by the Co-op Local Community Fund.
Come and learn about the interesting world of advanced firecraft while immersing yourself in nature. We can't wait to practice these with you!
