Will Sebag-Montefiore: Clips

Will Sebag-Montefiore: Clips

By Imagine! Belfast Festival of Ideas & Politics

Overview

with support from Teresa Livingstone – a satirical comedy show about the internet (with music)

“The only way to justify the amount of time I am spending online is to make a show about it.

An hour of songs, sketches and characters in neatly packaged sections so I can turn it all into clips to put online to sell more tickets to shows at which I will make more clips to put online.

This next bit will be in third-person even though it's me writing it but that way it sounds more professional.”

You may have heard Will alongside Olivia Colman in the 2024 remake of Green Wing or in BBC Radio 4's sketch show POV.

He is a regular guest on Rosie Holt’s Noncensored podcast, was murdered in Endeavour (ITV), has performed Shakespeare alongside Mark Rylance in Westminster Abbey with Shakespeares Globe and won Most Valued Player at a Primary School Football camp in 2001 (he was bad at football but people quite liked him).

His satirical videos have been shared by the likes of Alastair Campbell, Owen Jones, Dermot O’Leary, Dawn Butler, Lorraine Kelly and, unfortunately, Joey Barton. Will is deeply ashamed of that last one but look, a retweet’s a retweet.

He is also founding member of viral sketch group Just These Please: “gags are packed tight, and as always, the performance is faultless" (★★★★ Chortle).

Teresa Livingstone is a musical comedian and a classy lady, at least she tries to be, despite everything life throws at her as a 40-something Northern Irish woman.

One of Northern Ireland’s top comedy acts and a skilled pianist and singer, she recently starred in her own BBC Sounds six-part series Tell Teresa and was previously seen on BBC’s The Blame Game, Soft Border Patrol and Late Licence.

Named as Funny Women’s One to Watch in 2019, catch Teresa live to see her unique blend of songs, stand up, gin and “going out” leggings.
