As part of Create Originals – a celebration of grassroots, homegrown music – Coachworks is proud to welcome Will Whisson, a British singer-songwriter and musician renowned for his emotive storytelling and genre-blending sound that traverses folk, rock, and indie-pop.
Emerging as a solo artist in 2016, Will quit his job, left London, and hit the road in a camper van, busking across Europe. That nomadic adventure saw him play over 200 gigs across 10 countries, release two EPs and his debut album Out of the Woods (2019), recorded in Ireland with producer Martin Quinn. His 2022 follow-up, Different Sides, produced by Pete Miles, featured orchestral arrangements and introspective lyrics, earning acclaim from Record of the Day and even a nod from folk-punk troubadour Frank Turner.
Now fronting a new band and working on his third album from his self-built South London studio, Will continues to embody a DIY ethos, connecting with fans through live shows, Patreon, and a fiercely independent approach to making music.
Sharing the stage with Will are Next to Mountains and Tom Rxxd, both bringing their own powerful, original sounds to the night. Together, this line-up represents some of the best in fresh, independent talent, each with their own voice, stories, and style.
