About this event
William Morris was by no means a great Victorian explorer, and only rarely travelled outside of Great Britain. However, he found himself increasingly drawn to Iceland and in 1871 embarked upon a six-week exploration of the country. During this time Morris kept a dairy recording his daily thoughts and actions, something he never otherwise did. We therefore know more about Morris’s daily events in Iceland than virtually any other point in his life. For our next William Morris Gallery online talk, join assistant curator Ainsley Vinall for a virtual exploration of Iceland with Morris’s journal as our guide.
