An exploration of Morris’s fantasy worlds and their influence on later generations of writers
About this event
Although best known today as an artist and designer, William Morris was most famous during his lifetime for his poetry and writing. His work is not often read today, but his poems, translations and especially his fantasy stories of the 1890s captured the imagination of later fantasy writers including J R R Tolkien and C S Lewis. Join assistant curator Ainsley Vinall in this online talk for an exploration of Morris’s fantasy worlds and their influence on later generations of writers.
