Is this event suitable for children?

Almost all children are excited to be up late, seeing and hearing the bats flying around. The bat walks are a great family outing.

What about disabled access?

The walk up to the top of this hill uses a quite rough snd steep footpath where some care is needed and wheelchair use would be hazardous. We can provide directions for a car route to a parking area very close to where we see the bats.

Are there risks involved in joining the bat walk

Provided that visitors take care in walking a footpath in twilight conditions there are no significant risks in joining our bat walks.

Is special clothing needed?

No, normal outdoor clothing and shoes (suitable for footpath walking)are fine. The walk will go ahead whatever the weather.

How long do the walks last?

The introduction, briefing with the equipment and walk will take between one and one and a half hours.
