Weave your own Festive star decorations
This star themed willow session will give the opportunity to make a range of beautiful decorations for the home. We will start with the impressive scandi style stars, and then explore options of other larger stars, and small -bauble size’ star decorations too. You will be guided through the different techniques to make these different stars, but will have some flexibility to create your favourites.
You should expect to go home with at least 2-3 decorations.
All materials and tools will be provided. A reasonable level of hand strength is needed – but any questions or concerns, Lucy is happy to discuss in advance.
About the venue
This is a unique willow weaving experience, as we will be weaving right next to the herds of alpacas that live at Oak Tree Farm! There is also a beautiful garden and surrounding woodland.
We expect to be weaving inside, but just metres away from the alpacas. Dress to keep warm.

The workshop format
This is a festive and creative session, in a small group of up to 6 participants so you you will have lots of support and guidance throughout.
A perfect Christmas treat to get you in the mood, we will take a relaxed and social approach to this workshop, but with some strutured guidance included to learn some new skills and leave with your own special Christmas decorations that can be diplayed indoors or outdoors.
Lucy will talk you through the different types of willows, and process of weaving for 2, hopefully 3, different styles of stars.
Refreshments
Refreshments of festive tea and cake are provided by Oak Tree Farm for this workshop, included in the price.
Considerations for participants
All tools and materials will be provided and are included in the course fee. Some strength in the hands and fingers are needed to work with willow, but help and guidance is always available if needed.
