In this special workshop, Lorna will guide attendees through the process of crafting beautiful, decorative items using British-grown willow. The tactile nature of the willow – smooth yet strong, earthy and fragrant – offers a deeply sensory experience. As you bend and shape the supple stems, you'll enjoy not just the meditative rhythm of weaving, but also the gentle scent and natural textures that make this craft so therapeutic.

Willow weaving is one of the oldest crafts known to humankind. The Salix plant, from which willow comes, has a rich history in the UK, used for centuries in everything from basketry to fencing and medicine. Lorna’s workshop offers a chance to learn about this remarkable plant and its role in our cultural landscape, all while crafting something unique with your own hands.
