This full day workshop provides a perfect opportunity to learn and develop willow weaving skills. You will create your own willow Zarzo Basket, a beautiful design originating in Northern Spain, and will be supported through the step-by-step process in a small group setting. The course is suitable for complete beginners and veterans alike, ideal for anyone with a desire to learn a new craft or a gift for an artsy person in your life!

The workshop includes lunch and refreshments. All our food is made fresh on the premises using locally sourced ingredients where possible. With 48hrs notice, we can cater for most dietary and allergy needs. Please get in touch using the contact form if you have any questions or to inform us of any specific requirements/requests. Please email engagement@nottswt.co.uk if you have any questions or to inform us of any specific requirements/requests.

Katrine Scott-Mitchell from The Willow Loft is a local maker who works with willow to create sculptures, decorative and practical items for the home and garden. Katrine has been working with willow for 6 years and regularly runs workshops to share her love of ‘twisting sticks’! The biggest sculpture she has made is a life-sized stag and the most practical item is basket that she uses every day to carry her tools.
