Get set for the 2017 Swimathon challenge!
The Swimathon provides a fantastic opportunity to bring together swimmers of all abilities. It’s a fun event for all ages and last year's event had swimmers taking part whose ages ranged from 5 to 70.
Since 1988 hundreds of teams have taken part, raising over £145,000 for many local and national charities. This year the event will be run by the Rotary Club of Wilmslow Dean, who are keen to see teams join in and raise money for local good causes and the community. However, the Swimathon has the added attraction that 50% of the money raised by each team is kept by them, providing a useful source of funds for their own special projects or charity of choice.
This year's event will take place on the evenings of Saturday 25th March and Saturday 1st April at Wilmslow Leisure Centre between 5pm and 7pm.
The organisers are trying to encourage more businesses to enter teams as well as more youngsters to take part.
If you are interested in joining in the event please get in touch with the organisers by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by registering a Ticket someone should be in touch shortly.
