Description

We are pleased to announce our funding conference will take place on Wednesday 9 October; the theme of this year’s event is building connections.

Hear from national funders including The National Lottery Community Fund, Groundwork UK, Zurich Community Trust on their priorities, grant programmes and application process.

The day will include plenary sessions on ‘Building Connections’ and ‘Making Someone Welcome’; an interactive funding panel session and a chance to attend 2 workshops. Workshops will include:

a. Fraud and how to protect your charity - During this workshop participants will look at what fraud is and gain an understanding of the law what your organisation should be doing as well as, examine different types of fraud and the warning signs to look out for, explore cybercrime and why it is on the risk and look at real life example of when it all goes wrong

b. Sources of income - further details to follow shortly

c. How to manage risk and reserves - During this interactive session participants will work through developing a risk register for a fictious charity. The workshop will look at the different areas to consider, quantifying risk and how risk flows through to developing a reserves policy for a charity.

d. Measuring your impact - further details to follow shortly

e. What can digital do for me - In this interactive session, participants will explore the potential digital can offer you and your charity and share some tools and tips to help you get the most from technology, helping to demystify what digital is and helping you to take some key steps towards delivering your digital transformation needs. The session will be delivered by Nathan Baranowski, Managing Director at OJO Solutions. OJO Solutions have been helping charities and not for profits for over a decade to deliver faster, smarter and cost-effective digital solutions that build awareness and drive greater engagement with those who matter most.
