Please book your place to join us for the next in-person meeting of the Wiltshire and Swindon Youth Work Network.
The day will include a mix of training and discussion to help shape priorities for partnership activity and our Youth Capacity Building, Training and Support grants programme, which is aimed at helping to strengthen and support youth organisations locally. It will also provide time for sharing ideas, showcasing activities, learning from others, and networking with peers.
The Wiltshire and Swindon Youth Work Network and Wiltshire Youth Partnership is about working together to improve the youth offer across the county of Wiltshire. By working collaboratively - youth organisations and those passionate about improving outcomes for local young people - we aim to have greater influence and impact.
About the Event
Theme: Inclusive Youth Work – Supporting Neurodiverse Young People
The day will include:
- Training from NeuroConnect CIC – exploring what neurodiversity means in youth work practice, why group settings can be challenging, and how we can better support emotional and sensory regulation for neurodivergent young people.
- Panel Discussion – hear from representatives of local groups as they share their experiences of working with neurodiverse young people and join the conversation with your own questions and ideas.
- Shaping the Network – we’ll share the results of our recent member survey, outline the key needs highlighted, and present recommendations for the year ahead. Together, we’ll explore whether these priorities reflect your experience, identify anything missing, and shape how the Network develops.
- Sharing Updates – space for groups to share what you’re working on and any news with the wider Network.
Come and be involved; ensure your voice is part of this important conversation and the ongoing development of the Network and Partnership.
To help us include as many organisations as possible, please limit initial bookings to 1 or 2 people per organisation. We will review this and extend bookings if spaces become available. We are keen to have representation from as many groups across Wiltshire and Swindon as possible.
