Description

All ONLINE tickets have now been booked.

Should you wish to acquire one of the few remaining tickets for this event these will be available from our in person box office . The box office will be open 2nd and 3rd September in Winchester Tourist Information.

Join us for this fascinating talk and tour of Hampshire’s archaelogical collections. This is a unique chance to peek behind-the-scenes and meet the team who manage the collections cared for by Hampshire Cultural Trust.

Since 2014, the Hampshire Cultural Trust has been managing the museums services and collections owned by Hampshire County Council and Winchester City Council. Heritage Open Days provide the ideal opportunity for members of the public to go behind the scenes and see first-hand the invaluable work the Trust does with both the Hampshire’s and Winchester’s collections.

There is one 90minute guided tour available on the day, commencing at 14:00

There is good access to the ground floor of the store. However, the first floor is only accessible via stairs. Also, the stores are not designed for public access. Visitors to the stores will need to wear appropriate footwear and be able to navigate uneven floors, narrow spaces and possible trip hazards.
