Event description

Description

A day for students (from years 3 to 8) who can play wind instruments: flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, bassoon & recorder from beginner to intermediate level.

Your son/daughter has been recommended for Wind Day where they will have the opportunity to play in a Wind Band at their level. The day will consist of a mixture of fun musical activities with wind ensemble playing at the heart of it all.

Timetable:
08:50 - 09:10 Registration
09:10 - 12:00 Rehearsal sessions
12:00 - 12:40 Lunch
12:40 - 14:00 Rehearsal sessions
14:00 - 14:30 Concert
14:45 End of day (please arrange for your child to be collected promptly)

What to bring:
- Your instrument
- Any accessories you need to play - all clearly labeled (i.e. reeds)
- Your packed lunch

Squash and biscuits will be provided at break time.

As this is a school day, we ask that your child wears his/her school uniform. A short concert of pieces which have been prepared during the day will start at 14:00. Families and head teachers are most welcome to attend this at The Leslie Rose Auditorium at Stevenage Music Centre, The Nobel School.
