Event Details

Windows User Group

If you work in IT or you are interested in how technology is shaping the way we all work, then you are invited to attend an evening of tech talk and networking with fellow IT Pros. The evening will be hosted by Andrew Bettany and Chris Rhodes, both Microsoft MVP's for Windows and Devices.

Topics and speakers for the evening are

Take a look at OneDrive for Business

With the sustained adoption of Office 365 over the last few years, it is about time we re-visited some of the integrated online services that Microsoft bundled with most enterprise plans.

In this session, Andrew Bettany, MVP (Windows & Devices for IT) will take a look at OneDrive for Business, what it offers, how you can administer it for your users and how it is happy to co-exist on your Windows 10 device with the consumer version.

With some new OneDrive for Business features being debuted at Microsoft Ignite this session could even deliver a few surprises!

Make your devices more secure by taking them out of your infrastructure - are you serious?

Microsoft MVP and Windows User Group co-founder Chris Rhodes puts the case forward for moving device management away from your own infrastructure.

A few years ago this would have sounded crazy (and maybe still does?!) but there is a compelling stack of reasons why your boss may think this is the best idea you’ve had in a long time. Be smart – move your devices to the cloud.

Find out more in this talk.

Be sure to come along with questions, as well as a desire to meet and network with fellow IT Pros. These events fill up fast and we have limited seating, so please register early to guarantee a seat.

Event attendance is free, but there will also be a number of VIP Sponsor seats which offer extra benefits.
