Culture& is pleased to invite you to a celebration of African Caribbean cultural heritage through sensory reminiscence with archival records, music and food in collaboration with the London Metropolitan Archives and the Friends of the Huntley Archives at LMA.
ACTIVITY PROGRAMME
11am - 3pm: The West Indian Front Room
Artist Michael McMillan’s iconic installation that recalls the best room in the Caribbean home of the 1960s
11am - 3pm: Interactive Sound and Visual Archives
Accessible recordings and documents from the Culture& and Friends of the Huntley Archives at the London Metropolitan Archives
11.45am and 1.30pm: Caribbean Folk Music Workshops
Flute, percussion, song and storytelling with Keith Waithe and Sandra Agard
From 12.30pm: Homemade Caribbean Refreshments
Tasty Caribbean treats made with traditional ingredients and recipes
