Description

Black History Month Lunchtime Seminar: Windrush: The Past in the Present

Free event for Staff and Students.

The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the School of Sociology & Social Policy warmly invite you to three very special events for Black History Month. These events aim to provoke reflection and to open up new conversations between students and staff about the social world we inhabit and about the learning and thinking that goes on within the School.

This second event will explore how the resonances of the past persist in the present. The seminar will focus on drawing out the interlinked web of historical events and present-day exclusions.

Speaker: Cath Williams

Lunch will be available from 12.30pm in the L&SS Building Atrium, and the talk will start at 1pm in room B63.

We do hope that you will join us for this event.
