Event description

Description

Join us for an Argentinian Dinner and Wine Tasting in conjunction with one of our wine suppliers Enotria & Co and hosted by a fellow Argentinian Martin Navesi from the Trapiche Winery.

We will be showcasing some of the amazing wines from Argentinia from the wineries of El Esteco, Amaru and Trapiche.

The Wineries are in very different regions and thus creating very individual and distinctive wines, this will give us a rather interesting tasting.

We will dine on an Argentinian three course menu and six different wines with the reflective courses. The Dinner menu will include a vegetarian option and we can cater for any food intolerances or allergies etc. (Please email events@rooftopgardens.co.uk for any special requests)

Trapiche – Mendoza

Established in the foothills of the Andes, Mendoza in 1883, Trapiche is one of the oldest wineries, and s the largest exported premium brand, sold in more than 80 countries. The story began in a small vineyard called “El Trapiche” in 1883. With more than 130 year experience, Trapiche has earned its place as a pioneer in innovative grape growing and winemaking practices in Argentina, such as the introduction of French vines, the production of varietal wines, the import of French oak barrels and the use of stainless steel tanks.

El Esteco - Salta

French immigrants David and Salvador Michel funded the El Esteco winery in 1892, and it soon became one of the pioneering wineries in Argentina, earning a well-deserved reputation for high quality wines. This is one of the most beautiful and remarkable places in the world, with its breath-taking landscapes. With nearly 1000 acres of vineyards, El Esteco showcases the best varietal expressions of their fruit.

Chapadmalal Buenos Aires

In recent years, winemakers have started experimenting with different varietals in other parts of Argentina. One such experiment is Costa y Pampa, who are Argentina’s first South Atlantic Ocean wines. Planted at sea level, and 3 kilometres from the coast, vineyards here grow under a more humid and colder climate than Argentina’s mountain varietals, resulting in a range of wines that are fresh, delicate, with great aromatic complexity.
