WineFunding is the first crowdfunding platform dedicated to the wine sector. The idea is to offer wine lovers the possibility to invest in wine companies via the internet: either through equity or bonds with interest in wine, or full reimbursement in wine.

Maxime Debure (MBA 05D), founder of WineFunding will introduce and illustrate the concept with a tasting of the wines from three vineyards which are running crowdfunding campaigns on WineFunding.

Maxime is a MSc Agric graduate and qualified Enologist with 8 years’ experience in the wine industry as Winemaker and Managing Director of wine estates and wine merchants, some of which he turned around from a distressed situations. He has worked in Australia, California, South Africa, Chile and France and knows talented winemakers worldwide.

After his MBA at INSEAD, Maxime worked for eight years in management consulting and for private equity funds where he met many wine lovers willing to invest in wine businesses. In 2016, he launched WineFunding, thereby combining his dual expertise in order to connect winemakers and winelovers.
