This event is for new and existing businesses in the Offshore Wind sector and supply chain development looking to win business with developers and tier 1 suppliers in the Offshore Wind industry.

The breakfast briefing will include a networking breakfast followed by an overview of projects, timescales and key buyers. Industry figures will also share their insights on how to win business.

  • Scotia Supply Chain
    • Welcome, explanation of event format, overview of the current and future domestic and international offshore wind markets and identification of key Scottish supply chain opportunities
  • Babcock International
    • As one of the pre-eminent balance of plant EPC substation suppliers in the UK offshore wind sector, Babcock Rosyth will share their views on the future direction of the sector and offer advice on what upper tier customers need from the Scottish supply chain and how companies should position themselves to enter and grow within offshore wind
  • Seaway Heavy Lifting
    • SHL has installed assets in a number of the UKs offshore wind farms to date and has a strong European footprint. Having secured contracts from most of the major developers including DONG, Innogy and Statoil, SHL is currently working on SSE;s Scottish Beatrice project and will soon undertake EPCI responsibilities on the world’s largest offshore wind farm, Hornsea 1. SHL will offer advice on engaging with customers within the sector and offer insight into the challenges of installing larger assets further from shore in tomorrow’s installation market.
  • Mainstream (Neart Na Gaoithe)
    • The first Scottish project to secure a CfD, Mainstream will provide an update on Neart Na Gaoithe and discuss how innovative advances will allow them to install around half as many assets as originally planned. Mainstream will explain what the offshore wind developer of tomorrow will need from the supply chain and highlight the importance of supply chain localisation.
  • Scottish Enterprise / Scottish Development International
    • How the Enterprise agencies can help Scottish companies conquer the OSW sector domestically and internationally.
