Speakers

Phil Anderson

Phil is one of the UK’s leading sales and marketing experts, and a member of NonExecutiveDirectors.com. He built his reputation in senior positions at the likes of Gillette, Oral B, Sensodyne, Thorntons, Littlewoods and Damart and has a wealth of experience working across companies of all sizes in the FMCG, retail, mail order and e-commerce sectors, delivering significant improvements to brand performance and reputation. His success is based on developing a deep customer understanding, ensuring the customer is placed right at heart of the business and developing targeted propositions and new initiatives.

Phil has made a highly successful transition to a portfolio career. Currently a Non-Executive Director and Chair for an award-winning logistics social enterprise, he also acts as a consultant to businesses on their strategy. He will be talking about his experiences and how he has used his skills to develop his plural career in a highly competitive marketplace.

Pete Wade

Pete has almost 20 years' experience in tech including online retail, payments, and social media, and he is a member of NonExecutiveDirectors.com. He spent over 10 years at eBay, 5 of which were in Silicon Valley. During his time at eBay, Pete worked closely with tech investors across the US and Europe. His final task at eBay was the IPO of PayPal. Having moved back to the UK in 2015, Pete was an interim FD at Trainline, and most recently CFO of LADbible Group, the largest publisher of social video in the world based in Manchester. He now works for a number of tech businesses across the UK, helping them to grow faster, raise money, and make better decisions. He will be talking about a topic crucial to the success of any portfolio career - how to make an impact quickly once you've got the job.
