Event Information
About this Event
Services
We are planning to hold two outdoor daytime services for this years Light up a Life in the grounds of Dorothy House Winsley on Sunday 22 November at 12 noon and 3pm respectively (government guidelines permitting). This will include the switching on of the lights on our beautiful Christmas tree.
Numbers for these services are limited and are available on a first come first serve basis only. If you would like to attend please reserve a place by signing up for a free ticket. There are two ticket choices, one for each service time, please do make sure you select the right service time.
Our 12 noon service will also be available through a live stream on the day for those unable to attend the physical event. We hope this enables us all to come together even at a time when we can’t physically meet. Details to access the live stream will be available via the Dorothy House website closer to the date.
Process on the day
Due to current government guidelines we have adopted strict rules on the day to ensure the safety of all attendees, volunteers and staff. We will be updating these rules and any needed regulations if at any point guidelines change. We will of course keep you updated on any changes.
Please ensure you arrive in good time for your allocated service. We will have socially distanced queue systems in place to guide people into the grounds however this will take longer than normal so please do be prepared to queue. For any attendee that is unable to queue please contact the fundraising team in advance so we can put suitable arrangements in place. events@dorothyhouse-hospice.org.uk
We are offering individual tickets and group tickets at a maximum of six per group to ensure we adhere to government guidelines.
Groups must stay within their bubble at all times. Under no circumstances should any attendee impede or encroach on any other individuals or groups space.
We will be asking all attendees to sanitise in and out of the services. Sanitising stations will be made available.
We will not be able to offer any access to toilets at the Hospice we are afraid.
Once in the grounds you will be asked to stay in your allocated space. We will be controlling the queue out of the service so we politely ask that you remain in your allocated space until told to make your way out of the grounds.
We will be asking for all attendees details for all tickets requested. Please ensure each attendees name is entered correctly in case contact is needed post the event for track and trace.
We would like to thank you all in advance for staying safe during this event. We would like to continue to come together as a community now more than ever and we appreciate your patience and understanding at this time to allow us to do so.
