Event description
Enjoy mini-editions of the ever-popular Winter Arts Market where you’ll find stalls from over 30 independent makers at Liverpool Cathedral.

About this Event

Welcome back to Liverpool Cathedral, the largest cathedral in the UK and fifth largest in the world. Come and look around our Grade I architectural wonder, take in the artworks and find stalls from over 30 independent artists, designers and makers in the magnificent surroundings. Pop along to shop for creative crafts, gorgeous gifts, contemporary design and artisanal foods.

There will be different stalls featured each week, where you’ll be able to find everything from cards, photography, ceramics and prints, to jewellery, homewares, textiles and handmade beauty products.

You can also enjoy a short performance with Carols from the Cathedral Choir at 15:00 during the market.

The last visitor entrance on Saturday is 15:15

Important information about booking your tickets for the Arts Market

  • Tickets are general admission and cost £2.00 per person plus booking fee. Under 16s are free but you will still need to book a ticket for them.
  • Booking slots are at 15-minute intervals, from 10:00 – 15:15.
  • The Winter Arts Market and Cathedral will close at 16:00.
  • You’ll only be able to come into the Winter Arts Market and the Cathedral if you’ve pre-booked your tickets.
  • We know people’s arrangements change so even if the Winter Arts Market is sold out, we advise you to keep checking back, just in case a ticket becomes available on Eventbrite. If tickets are available you can book your ticket on the day itself.
  • Book for the exact number of your party including children of all ages.
  • Please do not book tickets for anyone outside your household or bubble.
  • You can book up to six tickets per transaction.
  • If you need help with accessibility please tell us on your booking form.

Support Us

  • Like many other organisations in the city and beyond, we face an uncertain future. Liverpool Cathedral has lost nearly all of its income over recent months, so your donations are especially needed and welcome to help keep entry to Liverpool Cathedral free to visitors. It will help preserve your heritage for generations to come.
  • You can donate when you visit us with cash or on our portable contactless consoles.
  • Find out more about how you can support us on our Donation website pages.
  • Did you know, when you buy something from our Cathedral Shop, you’ll be supporting us too?

Thank you for your generosity.

Before the Winter Arts Market

  • If you are unable to attend or your party size has decreased, please cancel your ticket as soon as possible.
  • If you’re feeling unwell, in a high-risk category, self-isolating or if you or anyone you’ve been in contact with has symptoms of coronavirus, please stay at home and cancel your ticket.

What you need to do when you attend the Winter Arts Market

  • Please do not arrive more than five minutes before your ticket time.
  • The additional health and safety measures we’ve put in place means it may take you a little longer than usual to access the Cathedral, so please be patient, kind and responsible.
  • You may need to queue outside our building. Please make sure you're prepared for the British weather!
  • Before you come into the Cathedral we will check your booking and take your temperature.
  • You’ll only be able to come into the Winter Arts Market if you have booked your tickets.
  • Only people in your ‘party’ with booked tickets will be able to come into the Winter Arts Market with you.
  • Sanitise your hands on your way into the Cathedral.
  • Please wear a face-covering at all times, unless you are medically exempt.
  • Once you’re inside the Cathedral a member of our staff will explain the one-way system. Please follow the route to keep yourself and others safe.
  • You can visit our café and shop during your visit.
  • Our toilet facilities will be open but they are limited. We’ve had to change each toilet block into a single one person/family group toilet facility to make sure you are physically apart from other visitors. This does mean that you may have to queue so please be patient, kind and responsible.
  • You’ll need to sanitise your hands before going into and on your way out of the toilet facilities to reduce the spread of coronavirus. Please be patient, kind and responsible.
  • Please do not mix with other households or bubbles.
  • You’ll need to allow an hour or so for your visit. Once you have finished your visit, please leave the Cathedral, so that we can let other visitors in to enjoy the event too.
  • Limited onsite parking is available. Pay at the machine stations in the car park with cash or card before you leave.
  • Please keep to government guidelines on social distancing. Currently, you cannot meet or mix with anyone outside your household in an indoor setting and maximum group size is dictated by the number of people in your household. You can check the most up to date guidance here.

Need more information about what we’re doing to keep you safe when you visit us? See the FAQs section on the Visiting Us page which are updated regularly to reflect the current government guidance.

Please note - if for any reason we need to cancel this event or if you are unable to attend, you will be refunded the price of your ticket minus the Eventbrite booking fee.
