Winter at Clifton Suspension Bridge Visitor Centre
Event Information
About this Event
After you've seen the bridge, take a trip into the past and learn about the competition that sparked Brunel's career, the 33-year journey of the bridge being completed and the memories of those who use and love the bridge today.
We are carefully managing visitor numbers, and tickets are strictly limited so if you can, please book for the Visitor Centre in advance (the bridge is always open free of charge to all pedestrians and no pre-booking is required to cross).
Our aim is to make things feel as close to normal as possible but as your safety is our main concern, we have resumed services in a limited, safe and socially distanced way. Our permanent exhibition and shop are both open but our tours programme is still to follow at a later date. We’ve implemented some new measures to offer the safest, most enjoyable experience possible:
- Reduced building capacity in line with the latest government guidance and sector advice
- Enhanced cleaning schedules and installation of hand sanitisers at key points
- One-way system with social distancing markers
- Protective screens on the reception desk and shop counter – and PPE for staff
- Training in physical distancing and hygiene protocols for our team.
We have qualified for the ‘We’re Good To Go!’ mark from Visit England to verify that we’ve met government and industry COVID-19 guidelines.
