Event Details

Join artist Margot Minnot Thomas on the ONCA Barge for a festive evening workshop!

We will be using a very old printing method called cyanotype. Discovered in the mid-1800s, cyanotype was pioneered by the first published female photographer, Anna Atkins. Coating paper with this light-sensitive emulsion makes deep blue prints once exposed to UV light.

We will be making some beautiful cards with this method, which can double up as festive cards in time for the winter holidays.

You will be welcomed to the ONCA Barge with a glass of Prosecco or a soft drink. Come along to spend a relaxing creative evening for yourself or with friends and colleagues!

About the Artist

Margot is a multimedia artist with a photographic background. She creates artworks which explore memory, identity and language through cyanotype printing, embroidery, video and photography. She facilitates workshops for all ages, sharing her skills, encouraging imagination and creative expression.
