Event description
This series of talks are organised to provide tips on the different challenges that women face in their careers in Science

About this event

From our committee, Wom=n in Science, we are aware that women have to face different challenges in their career in Science. In ocassions these challenges are forcing women to leave their careers or to promote at much slower pace than the male-peers.

Through the experience of other women, we would like to provide some tips or strategies to follow to go over some of the most common challenges:

- Maternity in Science (talk scheduled for the 25th November at 6.30pm UK time)

- Challenges in Science for Women (talk scheduled for December at 6.30pm UK time)

- Women in job interviews. Common mistakes and tips (talk scheduled for January 2022 at 6.30pm UK time)

All our talks will be in English and they are open to everybody, women and men. We will need you to pre-register through Eventbrite to receive the Zoom link for each talk.

In between two and three speakers will join us in each session and introduce the topic through thir own experience. They will provide some tips or strategies that worked for them and we will have the opportunity to open a friendly dialogue with them to ask them or make comments on what we have learnt on the day.

We invite you all to join us and to spread the word.

Raising awareness of the different difficulties and getting tips or strategies to sort them out is the right route to take to progress in Science.

We listen to you, we support you!
