Winter Talk Series: ' Birdwatching and surveys in the Borders'
Overview
Join Berwickshire Marine Reserve for our Winter Talk Series as we bring experts from various marine-based backgrounds to share their knowledge and expertise with you. These events are free to attend, but donations are gladly received to allow us to continue providing educational opportunities to the local community.
The talk will introduce the SOC, the Borders branch. We are a club for likeminded individuals living in the Borders passionate about learning and watching birds. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced bird watcher the SOC Borders branch welcomes everyone. We provide assistance with bird identification and participate in bird surveys. This valuable survey data helps us better understand and conserve our feathered friends.
About John:
I recently retired and moved to the Borders, where my interest in birds has blossomed. Joining the Borders Bird Club (SOC) has been a fantastic experience. I participate in regular bird surveys and enjoy group trips. The depth of knowledge shared during our winter talks never ceases to amaze me. I’m also a keen fly fisher and my enjoyment has grown even more since my bird knowledge has increased.
This talk will last for one hour, and refreshments will be available.
