About this event

Charity & Causes • Environment

Would you like to recognise native trees in winter when so many have lost their leaves? Maybe you have volunteered tree planting and are keen to identify one bare sapling from another! Or perhaps you want to know what trees you are seeing when outdoors in the winter months?

Join Neill Talbot from Avellana Ecology for an online walk through the world of winter trees. Neill will focus on distinctive features to look out for that will help build confidence with tree identification in the winter season. This will include ways to tell the difference between species that can look very similar at this time of year. There will be an opportunity for Q&A after the presentation.

This event is free to attend and we are very grateful to the National Lottery Heritage Fund for their support. Photo of hazel branches in January, at our Hazeland site, by Kevan Wind.
