Winter Wild Foraging Experience in Fletcher Moss Park
Sun 4 December 2016, 11:00 – 15:00 GMT
You’d be forgiven for expecting to find almost nothing on a forage in early December. And while the rewards aren’t quite as immediate as some other times of year, with a little effort there are some excellent and easy-to-identify wintertime wild foods still peeping through, from leafy greens, roots, fruits and fungi. This walk is an excellent excuse to be outdoors on a cold winter’s day - but hardy foragers need to be prepared to brace the bitterness and come wrapped up warm! The forage will last approximately 2 and a half hours and will be capped off with cooking and sampling of our best finds.
