Winter Wonders Online Social
Overview
Winter Wonders Social
Join us for a cosy and accessible online social event designed specifically for solo women with invisible disabilities. This is a safe and relaxed space to connect, share ideas, and enjoy a gentle afternoon of creative and calming activities.
The "Winter Wonders Social" is an opportunity to meet other women in similar situations, celebrate community, and have fun, all from the comfort of your own home.
What to Expect
- A Gentle Start: Settle in with calm background music (Neo Soul/R&B Lofi) and time to get comfortable.
- Icebreakers and games
- Design Your Wonderland: We'll dedicate time to design our own unique Winter Wonderland, including our diverse bodies and minds - just for fun and creativity! Your ideas will inspire an illustrator in our community who will create a drawing of our collective reimaginings for the community—you will all receive a copy to print and keep forever.
- Social & Connection: Enjoy a dedicated social time—in a big group or breakout rooms as part of our event
Your comfort is our priority. Feel free to join as you are and we will support each other to feel seen and as we get cosy for the afternoon.
This event is for Seen Sisters, a solo woman aged 25–55 with an invisible disability and/or long-term health condition, who doesn’t have a long-term partner or children
Tickets are Pay What You Can
We operate on a 'pay what you can' model for this event. There's a suggested contribution starting at £3 for those who are able and would like to contribute. However, we want to make it absolutely clear that no one will ever be turned away due to lack of funds. All contributions go directly towards Seen Sisters' work as a non-profit. Our aim is to remove all barriers to participation and foster a sustainable project of collective care.
If you have any questions, or would like to chat about this, please don't hesitate to email us at info@seensisters.co.uk.
About Seen Sisters
Seen Sisters is an intersectional feminist group for solo women who live with invisible disabilities. We understand the challenges you might face every day because the world doesn't always see your struggles. Our mission? We're here to change things, making life more joyful and accessible. If you're looking for friends who get what you're going through, or if you want to help make a difference in the lives of women like us, Seen Sisters is your community.
Seen Sisters is for solo women who:
- Identify as a Woman
- Are aged 25 - 55
- Don’t have children or a long-term stable & safe partner they can count on for financial, practical, or emotional support.
- Live with an invisible disability and/or long-term health condition that significantly impacts their day-to-day life, yet struggle to get support within society or services due to appearing ‘well’.
This movement has been created from a space of lived experience, and we can’t wait to share experiences with you! Join us to be part of a movement that's all about joyfully reimagining spaces in which every woman is seen.
