As the days get shorter and colder join Penny for this unique four week course; immerse yourself in the practice of wintering and learn how to thrive through the darkest of seasons.

What Will I Learn?
• Zen Yoga sequences and guided meditations for the season of winter.
• Breathing techniques to help access deeper states of relaxation and calm.
• How to work with our mindset to embrace discomfort and build resilience.
• The therapeutic benefits and safety aspects of cold-water immersion (from simply putting in a hand or foot to your whole body).
• Plus, you will have access to recordings of the yoga and meditations to use at home.
• And, of course, fabulous hot chocolate!
• The weekly classes will include the chance for lots of chat and support from Penny and your peers in the group and hot chocolate!
This course is rooted in Penny’s practice in Rinzai Zen which has a long-established tradition of teaching yoga and meditation for health and wellbeing. Penny is a trained Zen Yoga teacher and experienced meditator who has completed her Meditation and Mindfulness Teacher Training with Zenways (www.zenways.rog) she is also an Open Water Swim Coach specifically trained to safely take people into cold water. Penny is committed to developing as a trauma-sensitive mindfulness practitioner and this underpins her teaching for the course. This course is deliberately limited to a small size to ensure we have a safe and fun group dynamic.

This course is open to anyone over the age of 18. Please be aware that group mindfulness practice is not usually recommended for anyone with paranoia or schizophrenia or who is actively experiencing traumatic symptoms, who feels mentally unstable or suicidal.
