The iconic song cycle Winterreise, 'Winter's Journey', is the ultimate collection of soul searching songs by the romantic composer Franz Schubert, who wrote this music shortly before the end of his short life. It will be sung by bass baritone Jeremy Leaman, accompanied by pianist Beate Toyka. Both artists are UK Midlands based. They are connected in their love of German language and poetry as expressed in Schubert's beautiful music.

The concert will take place in the noble chapel of Trent College, Nottingham. It will be recorded and broadcast by fsrecord who will also manage the CD recording to take place later in April.
