The Wirral Mental Health Support Team (MHST) already works within all primary schools and eight mainstream secondary schools in Wirral. We are also offering these free workshops in the school holiday period delivered by our MHST staff. Attendance at these sessions is not a referral into MHST or Children and Young People's Mental Health Services and a health record will not be opened.
We hope to support children attending to learn new skills that can be built on at home with parent/carers and friends. There are 5 x different workshops and you can attend one or all of them but each one must be booked independantly as a standalone workshop.
Worskhop 4 content:
Building My Resilience introduces children to the concept of resilience as having inner strength, so that our minds feel strong enough to cope with challenges, problems, and difficulties. We discuss the idea that being resilient does not mean that we will never feel worried, stressed, upset, or disappointed by these challenges, but that we trust ourselves to have helpful ways to deal with these difficult emotions, to help ourselves to feel stronger, braver, and calmer. We discuss 2 helpful ways to build resilience - using helpful self-talk and remembering to feel proud of ourselves.
Once you have booked a place on this workshop we will be in touch. Places are limited - please see the terms and conditions below.
