You will learn how to confidently carve onto softcut which is ideal for beginners and easier to cut than linoleum, you will also learn about the tools and techniques and what materials are available to start lino cutting from home.
At the workshop you will have the option to print a set of greeting cards or perhaps just a print. A5, A4 and blank cards will be provided.
Please bring a design suitable for 10cm X 15cm or 15cm X 20cm.
Jessica Sharville is a freelance artist who studied Design Illustration at Plymouth University graduating in 2008, after learning different printmaking skills Jessica carried on creating lino cuts and wood cuts alongside pencil illustrations, computer vector illustrations, design work and paintings. Jessica sells her lino cut prints locally around Brighton and online and happily admits she is obsessed with lino and wood cutting and often spends her time when she isn't printmaking thinking about what she will be creating next.
