Join Mike Dodsworth, professional Performance Storyteller and Theatre Director working nationally and internationally for over 25 years, on an investigation into the prominence of Witch Trials and the execution of women found criminally guilty of witchcraft in Essex during the 16th and 17th centuries. To broaden the historical context of these events, Mike will be calling on literature and folklore to assist in our understanding of the trials that took place from 1566 when the first witch trial was held at Chelmsford Assizes.
