What to expect:
The session is held on Zoom and includes materials sent out before and after the event and a video recording. No pressure to read out and no prior knowlede of Japanese culture or language needed.

About Alexandra Corrin-Tachibana
Alexandra Corrin-Tachibana’s first collection, Sing me down from the dark (SALT; 2022) recently sold out of its 3rd issue and is being reprinted.
She is a PGCE-qualified teacher with Masters degrees in Writing Poetry and Japanese Language and Literature, who lived in Japan for 10 years.
She has taught in higher education in Japan and the U.K. In November 2024, she visited Japan to work on her second collection, and lectured on zuihitsu at the Japan Writers Conference, Futaba.
Alex is published in P.N. Review, MAGMA, The North, Poetry Wales, Anthropocene, The Moth, The Interpreter’s House, The Madrid Review, and The Pomegranate London. Fascinated by Japanese aesthetics, she has published zuihitsu, haibun and tanka and several poems inspired by her intimate relationship with Japan.
She has been placed or shortlisted for the Fish Prize, Oxford Brookes International Poetry Prize, The Troubadour Prize, The Winchester Poetry Prize, Leeds Poetry Festival Award, Live Canon and others.
