Introduction for Tutors, Mentors and LP Secretaries
About this event
An introduction to the Worship Leading & Preaching Course (WLP 3.0)
About this event
This event is being run for Local Preacher/Worship Leader Tutors, Mentors or LP Meeting Secretaries, or those exploring whether to take up these roles within the Methodist Church.
The session begins with a presentation about the general principles behind the W:L&P course, and the changes that have been made in version 3.0. It will explain the different roles, and the way they interact during the training of students.
The training will then split into three streams to provide a more detailed focus on the particular roles and give some guidance and tips on how to get the most from the course as you support the students in your care.
There will be a short time for Q&A at the end of the time together.
The event will be hosted by the Southern and Islands Learning Network of the Methodist Church and facilitated by Learning Network Staff and other members of the Connexional Team.

What is the Connexional Learning Network?
Learning and development across the Connexion is supported by the Methodist Church's Learning Network. This work has four aims:
nurturing and equipping Christ-like disciples
challenging and equipping mission-shaped communities
forming and equipping those who share in lay and ordained ministry
enabling and encouraging creative thinkers in an environment of scholarship, research and innovation.
The Southern & Islands Region of the Learning Network covers the Channel Islands, South-East, and Southampton districts of the Methodist Church. The region is supported by a team of Learning and Development Officers and a Regional Coordinator who work in partnership with many other people who have a heart and passion for learning and development in the context of mission and ministry.
