Overview

Part 4/6 development sessions for WLP tutors and mentors. This session will help us to self reflect on our role as tutors

A reflective series of sessions with shared wisdom from experienced practitioners in adult education and from tutors who have worked with students with particular needs. Session Four helps us to consider that we expect our students to be self-aware and critically reflect, but how do we cope with feedback on our tutor/mentor skills? Have you ever asked for any? What are your communication preferences / learning preferences/ teaching style? How do these play out in your interactions with students? Do you have any special interests or theological bug-bears? Do you have unconscious biases that affect you when it comes to working with students?

You are welcome to come to one, many or all of the six sessions. Please book for each one separately.

The other events in this series are:

Session 1: Who's in your group (10th September)

Session 2: Feedback for growth (12th November)

Session 5: Supporting students with Dyslexia, Dyspraxia or Dyscalculia (20th May)
