Event description
Join us to co-design Wolverhampton's Digital Buddies network!

About this Event

Wolverhampton Voluntary Sector Council's Volunteer Centre is partnering with other organisations in the city to create a Digital Buddies network, aimed at recruiting volunteers who will help people to practise and build confidence in improving their digital / IT skills.

Working in the spirit of co-design, we want to hear what you think about how we can create this support network together.

This session is open to everyone! Maybe you're an organisation looking for digital / IT buddies to support your clients? Or perhaps you're interested in becoming a buddy yourself? It may be you've been involved in buddying / befriending networks before?

Regardless, we'd love you to join us - even if you're simply interested in what we're doing.

What are Digital Buddies?

As society moves to more digital and online access, many people can potentially feel left behind. They may not have the basic digital or IT skills that can help them in day to day living, including not being able to use social media / messaging to help them keep in touch with friends and family or join groups. We hope to offer support to people by pairing them with a buddy to help them to develop their confidence and ability with all things IT related.

To find out more, visit our website for the full volunteer role, or contact Pete Emms on pemms@wolverhamptonvsc.org.uk or 01902 773 761.

We look forward to seeing you at our co-design session!
