Event description
May my ending a warning be ... An intriguing walk 'n' talk exploring the life of Victorian Wolverhampton through two notorious murder cases.

About this Event

This walk through the historical heart of Wolverhampton explores life in the Victorian era as highlighted in two well known murder cases. The main emphasis will be on the murder of Harriet Seager in 1866. We will have the opportunity to handle evidence from the era and reach our own conclusions about the lingering mysteries ...

We will also explore how this case intertwines with one of the crimes of Jack The Ripper around twenty years later.

Given the dark nature of the subject matter, the tour is suitable for over eighteens only.Despite the historical nature of these crimes, this tour endeavours to treat the memory of those involved with appropriate respect. A donation from each tour will be made to a domestic violence charity.

The tour meets outside Wolverhampton Railway Station where your guide will await with an inelegant but easily identifiable orange umbrella .Taking place on the streets of the city and occasionally in selected public buildings, every attempt is made to render access as free as possible. The tour will go forward regardless of weather conditions and will last for approximately three hours with at least one comfort stop.Appropriate clothing and safe comfortable footwear is required.
