Wolverhampton Jelly - September 2013
Wednesday, 11 September 2013 from 09:30 to 16:30 (BST)
Wolverhampton, United Kingdom
Do you want to escape your home office and work somewhere different for 1 day a month - for FREE? Work, chat and collaborate at Wolverhampton Jelly!
What is a Jelly?
A Jelly is a co-working event which originated in New York as a way of getting home workers out of their 4 walls and working with others for 1 day a month. Since then it has grown and there are now over 50 groups across the UK alone. People bring their laptops (or craft) to work in one place for the day with and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere where they can bounce ideas off people, collaborate or just have some company while they work!
Who can come to Jelly?
Anyone who works from home, has a laptop or a craft that's easy to take around with them, and who wants to work somewhere different. That's it really! Just make sure you bring a power lead for your laptop to keep you going (there are plenty of sockets, but if you have an extension lead then please bring it!)
What is Jelly not?
Jelly is not networking, so please leave your pitch at home. It would be great to see some collaborations happening as a result of Jelly, but anyone trying to sell while they're here will not be popular! Equally, if you spend a lot of time on the phone during your working day, please be considerate.
When and where is it?
The next Wolverhampton Jelly will take place at Vanilla Coffee in Tettenhall on Wednesday 11th September 2013, from 9:30am-4:30pm. Feel free to come and go as it suits you - it's very informal!
It's a great location for people from South Staffs, the East of Shropshire as well as Wolverhampton itself and, being a cafe, there are plenty of refreshments on sale. Please don't bring your own food and drink into the cafe. There are plenty of shops and cafes around if you wanted to pop out for a bite or a leg stretch during the day. There is free parking nearby, but some of it has a time restriction so keep 'em peeled!
How much does it cost to attend?
Absolutely nothing. The space and wifi are provided for free and no one makes any money from it. It's designed to bring people together in one place and get a fresh perspective on things. That's it!
How do I book?
Just click the link above and book your place. If you can't come, please let us know so that we can offer your place to someone else. If there are no places left, sign up on the waiting list and you'll be notified if someone drops out and you're next on the list
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
