Event description

Description

An expert led seminar marking International Women’s Day

Join us to inform, shape and drive forward global action on dementia, from a gender perspective and explore opportunities to collaborate.

By 2050 131.5 million people will be living with dementia worldwide. One of the leading causes of global deaths, dementia is recognised by the World Health Organisation as a global health priority.

As the prevalence, care burden, stigma and severity of the disease disproportionately affects women, dementia is a global women’s issue that can no longer be ignored.

This event brings together iNGO women’s specialists, dementia experts, government representatives and other stakeholders.

The event will be live streamed for participants outside of the UK.

For more information on the seminar email Sherena Corfield.
