Event description
A book club to celebrate the power of women connecting with nature and adventure!

About this Event

Join us each month for stimulating and nurturing discussion of books focussing on women and nature.

Our January 2021 book is...

Women Who Run With The Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes

We’re fully embracing and exploring our ‘wild woman’ this month, and her innate creativity, wisdom and power

A note on chapters for this mind-blowing book: Please feel free, of course, to read all of this tome! If the whole thing is a little much to chew on in one go (I know it is for me), for the purposes our discussions, so we have some synchronicity, please aim to read:

- The Introduction

- Chapter 1. The Howl pp21-34

- Chp 2: Stalking the Intruder pp.35 - 69

- Chp 3: Nosing Out the Facts pp. 70-110

- Chp 6: Finding One's Pack pp.164-196

- Chp 9: Returning to Oneself pp. 255 - 296

- Chp 12: Marking Territory pp. 346 - 373

This book was largely overlooked when published (insert your own thoughts here…) and has since become part of the canon of writing about the nature and power of the female.

'Women Who Run With The Wolves isn't just another book. It is a gift of profound insight, wisdom and love. An oracle from one who knows.' - Alice Walker.

A number of you have told me that you have this on your bookshelf and need the nudge to read it - here’s the nudge - a wild and creative one!
