Event description

Description

In November 2017, Birmingham and Solihull Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (BSol STP) delivered a round of engagement sessions devised to help kick start ideas that will go forward to develop and deliver a modern health and social care service to better fit our citizens’ needs.

As part of our engagement strategy with key stakeholders across the sector, we are again delivering these engagement sessions to give more the opportunity to take part, offer feedback and ideas that will help transform health and social care by building a truly integrated system that is sustainable and not structured around individual organisations.

The performance, Phyllis, delivered by award-winning and not-for-profit theatre company, Women and Theatre, illustrates the story of one older adult, her family, and the frustrations and confusion they have experienced when using the health and care system.

Peppered with true stories of working that isn’t joined up, the piece highlights the need to form seamless cross-organisational partnerships, to work better together for the best interests of our populations – at the core of BSol STP’s vision.

Phyllis has been devised in collaboration with health and social care professionals from organisations across Birmingham and Solihull, and in conversation with real patients, their families and carers. It is with the vision of BSol STP in mind that we invite all those that work across health and social care in Birmingham and Solihull to attend one of the engagement sessions.

We welcome your attendance and the opportunity for you to offer your input, feedback and ideas of what needs to change in health and social care, and what you may be able to do to make improvements for our residents.

Each engagement session lasts 2 hours and include refreshments.
