There are still many outdated and downright depressing anti-women laws in use, around the world today – for example, women in Tunisia don't inherit as much as their brothers.

In conflict zones, women often bear the brunt of brutality, and the current refugee crisis puts thousands of women and girls at risk of sex trafficking and exploitation.

Whilst in the UK we have one of the worst records for gender equality at work.

Therefore just how far have we really come?

We'll kick off the event with an exciting network activity, followed by poetry and an open keynote from Amnesty international member. To wrap up we will have 4 amazing panelists talking about the 21st-century women from their perspective.
