Women in Business - Leadership, communication and time management
Wed 14 June 2017, 08:30 – 17:00 BST
Sampson Hall are delighted to be holding another one of their highly successful Women in Business Days. We are in our fourth year of sponsoring the Devon Venus Awards and our team enjoy nothing more than working with and supporting Women in Business.
The day is designed to offer business women a fantastic opportunity of working together with like-minded individuals, sharing business ideas, in an inspired, motivated and positive environment. It also allows valuable time away from the office for important self development and reflection.
You will leave with processes to help you manage your time, communicate effectively with staff and clients and work on your own qualities as a leader in business.
The day will be dynamic, interactive and fun and will offer the participant great personal development opportunities. You will leave with tools that you can use in your business for ongoing development of not only yourself but the teams you work with. You will be challenged to think differently about work issues in a supportive environment.
Sampson Hall are business experts who will take you through our proven exercises. Classroom learning will be enhanced and reinforced with fun and practical activities as an integral part of the day. The Sampson Hall team are dynamic, knowledgeable and inspiring presenters. They encourage interaction and learning from one and others experience.
All of our workshops are designed to offer return on investment as you will return to work in your business with new ideas and tools that you will be able to utilise and use immediately.
Delegates will learn:
Time Management and Effective Delegation – time and people are your most precious resource and they are some of the most difficult resources to optimise, devise your own time management matrix to ensure you allocate the right amount of time to the things that need doing, know how to organise yourself to get more out of your precious time through prioritisation.
Motivational Leadership – understand and learn how to influence and motivate others to perform successfully, understand how to enhance your potential as a leader. Exceptional performance is only achieved through good leadership.
Effective Communication – learn and understand what attitudes and behaviours are required for effective communication, overcome barriers to effective communication, develop your communication skills and ability to deliver the effect you need and want. Learn how and indeed what we communicate to others.
“I look forward to the day when it will be unnecessary to discuss the role of women in business”
Karren Brady June 2013
Sampson Hall supports the charity BEEP (Business Empowering Employment Programme)
The charity supports young people aged between 16 - 24 years of age who have found themselves, for many different reasons, unable to find work or unable to secure a college place or some sort of further training.
We take them through a 10 day programme and then link them up with a mentor from business to help support and guide them after the end of the programme.
The work has achieved great success and has enabled many young people to completely turn their lives around.
If you would like to make a donation, no matter how small, every penny goes towards running the next programme and we rely entirely on sponsorship and fundraising. It costs around £500 to put one young person through the programme.
You may also want to consider being a volunteer mentor, please speak to Sandra Sampson for further details.
