About Women in Business
Women in Business or WIB, has been supporting women in business in Medway and North Kent for many years now.
We have a wonderful spectrum of inspiring women from all different backgrounds and businesses, new and established.
We offer support and advice to each other and it is a safe space to explore your business, learn new skills and develop confidence. Also, many long-lasting friendships are made too.
There are opportunities to chair the meeting and to give a presentation, with support if needed, for WIB members. We also have guest presenters on a variety of subjects and offer workshops on subjects that help enhance business or to help us with personal growth.
We meet every first Wednesday at the Education centre attached to the Wisdom Hospice in Rochester.
WIB is very friendly, so why not give us a try?
The group is not just a networking group. It is made up of over 40 ladies that live locally, are like-minded, friendly and business owners who all want to support each other and help encourage you to succeed in your business.

Our next session will be on 2nd July 2025:
This month, we are excited to hear from Bev Bunn, from Beverley Bunn Glass Art, who will be talking about creativity and humour, and treating us to a five-minute stand-up comedy set she's preparing for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Our past presenters were:
4th June 2025: Emma Thorpe, from Sole Purpose Foot Health, shared a bit about herself and her business, and then mythbusted some of the most common old wives’ tales around foot care. She also shared some practical tips for healthy feet.
7th May 2025: Lisa Pirie, from Acey Bookkeeping, shared insights on balancing business and family life, and how organised bookkeeping can bring calm to busy mums.
2nd April 2025: Theresa Elsey, from St James’s Place Wealth Management, gave a talk on understanding finances. She covered the most common questions clients ask financial advisers, explained tax, allowances, reliefs, and thresholds in simple terms, and shared tips on how to feel confident discussing your private financial matters with someone.
5th March 2025: We heard from Paula Doyle from Hindsight Directory, who shared exciting updates about what’s new and why magazine advertising is a powerful tool for small businesses. We also heard from Grace Kelly from Our Community Spirit about the annual Christmas Lunch - a wonderful event her team organises each year. She talked about the fundraising efforts behind it, the impact it has on our community and how you can get involved and support the event.
5th February 2025: Katrina Festorazzi, Director and Founder of Razzi Dazzle Ltd, shared why planning an exit strategy is essential. She explored how her ‘why’ has evolved over the years, inspired by the incredible impact of her cleaning team and her dream of building a business that outlives her - one her children might even carry forward.
8th January 2025: It was an interactive session on goal setting.
