Women in Engineering
Event Information
Description
Keighley College, in collaboration with Gesipa, Produmax, Keighley Labs and Depuy, is hosting a Women in Engineering day on Thursday 26th April to give you the lowdown on the diverse engineering industry and why more girls like you are needed to ‘engineer the future’.
What will the day consist of?
There will be a variety of activities that start from 2pm.
The 2-4pm session will include:
- workshops
- A question and answer segment
- Tour of the factory
- An opportunity to chat to women in engineering
This session will take place during school hours and you can come down with your teachers to explore the day in the life of a woman in engineering and get some practical experience.
In addition we have a 4-6pm slot which will enable you to invite your parents along. This is your chance to find out as much as you can and make an informed decision about your future and whether engineering is right for you. While this session won’t have any workshops, you will have the chance to tour the factory and witness women at work doing what they love the most!
